Peace - Love - George
With sad and heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our friend, local history aficionado, Giants fan, storyteller, Treasurer and fellow Board Member George Russell, who recently left us unexpectedly and way too soon.
Sharing our passion and purpose for Southport, George served on the Sasquanaug Board for over 20 years, including a record nine years as President, followed by another seven years as Treasurer.
If there was a question we had about Southport, George either had the answer or would do a deep dive to find it! We will miss him very much.
Stay tuned for our plans to celebrate and commemorate George’s life and legacy in the coming year.
